The Former presidential aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamu Garba has urged Federal Government to shut down Twitter from the Nigerian internet space.
This was thrust by the popular drama of President Buhari’s tweet which was trashed by the Ceo of Twitter over its violent content.
According to his claim, he outlined that Twitter has no right to delete a tweet from the Nigerian president as it trends.
He added that the microblogging platform should be shut down as part of their penalty.
In his words, he wrote:
“Twitter has no right to infuse into our local political affairs. It’s a company not a government.
“By removing our democratically elected President’s speech to the people of Nigeria, Twitter needs to be shut down from Nigerian internet space.
“Twitter needs to get out of Nigeria.”
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and lambasted his claim via their grieves as it trends.
