A federal civil servant not below grade level 12 must be one of the sureties.

Although Sowore’s counsel, Marshal Abubakar, ruled on the bail application, the Chief Magistrate, Mabel Segun-Bello, ruled that the sureties must reside in the metropolis of Abuja with landed property and established addresses.

One of the bail conditions is that Sowore must physically report every Monday and Friday to the registrar of the Federal Capital Territory High Court pending the determination of the case against him.

It is also not expected that he will travel beyond Abuja and the country.
