Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu has hinted that head coach Quique Setien will be sacked following the 8-2 defeat against Bayern Munich during the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
Bartomeu went on to apologise to the fans. Although, he did not mention names – he revealed that the board already spoke about major changes and the new week will see them enforce them.
“It’s a really heavy defeat,” Bartomeu said after the game against Bayern. “I want to congratulate Bayern, who played a great game. They deserve to go through to the semifinals.

“I’m not going to say what [decisions] they are because some of them have already been made and others will be made,” he added.
“Today is a day to reflect. From tomorrow, we’ll try to lift the spirits of all the Barcelona fans and we’ll make decisions from next week.”
